While it is a functional blender, it should be noted that the six leaf blade is detachable from the screw on top, and connected by two relatively weak plastic flanges. Should you drop it while cleaning, and those flanges should break, they are unable to provide replacements, and since it comes with only a single blade, your blender will be rendered useless.
